I sold her to a nice gentleman of 83 years of age in Albuqueque. He rode her often but he now admits that his riding days are behind him and Sugar Spots are all in front of her. As smooth as any horse you have ever been on. Very willing but she can move-gait out and keep right up with her bigger companions. Love the trail, too. A Jim Dandy of a small mare. Butterfly

As I said in an earlier write-up of Butterfly, she will turn even more golden as summer approaches. But besides Butterfly being a beautiful mare she is also highly intelligent. I just got off of Butterfly a short hour ago. We spent the day together cutting trails to ride on. I was on and off of her dozens of times during the day. Each time I got off to cut branches on the trail, I simply threw my reins over her neck and started cutting. She never attempted to move off. I am certain she knew exactly what I was doing. She is just a terrific horse and excellent on the trails. For the plum beginner she may be a a little intimidating as she likes to move. However, for someone that can ride a wee bit and would ride her and hour or two on the trail, one would find she is as safe of a horse as anyone could ever find. I personally love riding this horse! Big heart, big brain and incredibly smooth. Serious trail riders, competition trail riders, endurance riders or anyone with any confidence in their riding ability will find this gal sensational! I guarantee it!"

What color do I call this fine gelding? Well, that is a question I cannot answer. Could be a dark buckskin, grulla???? I will tell you this, Buttermilk is a wonderful trail horse. I love to ride him and have often in last few weeks. About as non-spooky of a horse as they get. At ten years of age and thousands of miles of trail, Buttermilk is just about perfect. The photos really don't do him justice. Three white stockings and one white sock make this handsome gelding the kind to drive across the country to come and get. Ride him double, jump on and off him from either side or ride him with just a hay sting in his mouth......he'll ride any way you want to ride."
